An amp sim that calculates the circuit
Most amp simulations play back a recording of an amp - a capture or a profile of one setting. FK Rig calculates the circuit itself: every tube stage at its real operating point, the tone stack with its actual parts, the power amp with phase inverter, sag and output transformer, and the speaker as its load. That is why the controls interact as on the real amp, why the amp cleans up when you roll back your guitar's volume, and why it reacts to how hard you play.
In version 1.1 we measured every high-gain amp against recordings of real amps and corrected what was off. The changelog lists every step.

What is still in progress
We would rather say it here than have you find out: the pictures of amps and pedals are still drawn placeholders; ASIO support for the Windows standalone is planned (inside a DAW your DAW's driver is used, ASIO included); FK Rig is not available for macOS.
The free way in
FK Rig Lite comes with the free DAW FK Audio Suite and also on its own. If you do not have a DAW yet: FK Audio Suite records, edits and mixes, costs nothing and has no subscription and no account.
Frequent questions
What does early access mean?
FK Rig is finished enough for real recordings and is under active development. Early-access buyers pay less and help decide what comes next. Some parts are still visibly in progress, above all the device pictures, which become photo-realistic.
What happens to my license when the price goes up?
Nothing. You buy once: your license is personal, valid for life and covers every update released for FK Rig. The price change only affects new purchases.
Are future updates guaranteed?
No, and we say so openly. Planned are more amps and pedals, photo-realistic device pictures and ASIO in the Windows standalone. What comes first depends on what people use and ask for. Whatever you bought stays usable in any case: the key is checked offline and never expires.
Is VAT included?
9.90 USD is the net price. Our reseller Paddle adds the VAT or sales tax of your country at checkout and shows the total before you pay.
Can I try it first?
Yes. FK Rig Lite is the same plugin with two amps, three cabinets and three pedals. Install it, check that it runs on your computer, and unlock Pro later with a key - no second download.
Does it run in my DAW?
FK Rig is a VST3 plugin and runs in FK Audio Suite, Reaper, Bitwig, Cubase, Ardour and every other VST3 host on Windows 10/11 and Linux (64-bit). It also comes as a standalone application.
Does FK Rig support ASIO?
As a VST3 plugin, yes: it uses your DAW's driver, ASIO included. The Windows standalone currently uses WASAPI and DirectSound; ASIO support for it is planned.
What does my computer need?
A 64-bit CPU with AVX2 (Intel from 2013, AMD from 2015). Five complete rigs at once use about 35 % of one core on a Ryzen 5 4600H laptop CPU.
Does FK Rig need the internet?
No. The key is checked offline in the plugin, there is no account and nothing phones home.
