## 0.7.0 beta

The first version with public source code (GPLv3). The earlier betas 0.5 and 0.6 were distributed as programs only and are replaced by this version.

What the DAW can do:

* **Project and transport:** autosave, templates, undo/redo with history, loop, punch, pre- and post-roll, metronome, count-in, signature track with tempo ramps, time signature and key, markers.
* **Tracks:** audio, instrument, MIDI, group, FX and folder tracks, racks with multiple outputs, track bake.
* **Recording:** multitrack, mono and stereo, monitoring, takes and comping, retrospective MIDI recording.
* **Audio editing:** tools with grid, crossfades, clip gain, lasso and range tool, time stretch and pitch shift, sample editor, import by drag and drop (WAV, FLAC, OGG, MP3).
* **MIDI:** key, drum and list editor, controller lanes, chords, quantize with groove, step input, MIDI inserts, expression maps, MIDI import and export.
* **Mixer and automation:** MixConsole, inspector, inserts, sends, sidechain, direct outs, automation with read/touch/latch/write, MIDI learn.
* **Plugins:** VST3 and LV2 scan in a separate process, latency compensation, plugin manager; built-in effects and instruments (EQ, compressor, limiter, gate, reverb, delay, distortion, FK Synth, FK Sampler with SFZ).
* **Export:** mixdown and stems as WAV, FLAC, OGG and MP3; MIDI.
* **Content and browser:** content manager for free libraries, instrument and media browser.
* **Language:** English and German; the choice applies to every FK program.
* **Platforms:** Linux (AppImage, glibc 2.35 or newer) and Windows (installer and zip; WASAPI, DirectSound and ASIO).
* **Included:** FK Rig Lite as a separate VST3 plugin.

New compared with 0.6: ASIO in every Windows build, and the bundled plugins come as checked release packages.
